The Hotel Louis C. Jacob is a five-star hotel located on the shores of the Elbe River in Hamburg, Germany. The hotel was founded in 1792 and for many years it has remained one of the best places to have a luxury vacation in the area. The style of the hotel is mainly from the nineteenth century, although it also boasts of beautiful modern décor. The hotel’s beautiful terrace houses the bar and bistro on one side and the Jacob’s restaurant on the other side.
I had dinner at the wine bar restaurant and it was an amazing experience. The chef is known for preparing simple dishes with great appeal. For main, I had a nice perch filet wuth espula, green peas and corn; the dish was simple and absolutely amazing.
For dessert, I had a strawberry declination which was refreshing and an absolute delight.
The meal was accompanied by organic wine which was a nice touch to an already amazing meal.
The Kleines-Jacob wine bistro and bar has a large collection of wines from all of Germany and Austria. The wines served are carefully selected by the team every month from four different winegrowing areas, thus giving patrons the opportunity to taste wine from different regions at different times of the year. The ambience is cozy, with great wooden furnishing which gives it a subdued but timeless elegance. The service was impeccable; the staff was highly knowledgeable, efficient and very friendly.
The beautiful and warm décor, the ambience, excellent service and the taste of great wine made the experience worth every cent and I look forward to another very soon. If you are ever in the region, the wine bar is one place you should visit. You may be in time to experience the winegrower party which is organized every month.
