Being named “Airline of the Year” for the third time feels like a major accomplishment, as well as a testament to the company’s commitment to service excellent and high qualitative standards.

This accolade comes at the right time, as Qatar Airways expanded with major fleet enhancements over the past 10 months, including the introduction of their Airbus A380 and A350 models.

The airline also collected two more awards:

Best Business Class Airline Seat
Best Airline in the Middle East – (8 times winner)

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al Baker commented: “I am honoured and thankful to lead an airline that has accomplished so much in terms of excellence and innovation, showcasing the pride, passion, dedication and experience of our team.

Our passengers are at the heart of everything we do at Qatar Airways, and we are very proud that they recognized our commitment with 3 Skytrax awards. These accolades reflect our passengers’ satisfaction as they choose to fly with our five-star airline – the best in the world for the third time, offering a young and modern fleet of 160 flights taking passengers through a network of 147 destinations worldwide.”

Major recent enhancements have been introduced at Qatar Airways, including the opening of the world’s largest Business Class lounge, ‘Al Mourjan’ at Hamad International Airport in Doha; a complete revamp of the airline’s in-flight entertainment system, Oryx One, and newly introduced amenity kits across all classes of travel; new on-board menus, check-in enhancements, and many others.

Part of Qatar Airways’ new fleet is currently on display at the Paris Air Show 2015, with five new-generation airplanes on display – the Airbus A380, A350 XWB, A320 and A319 and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
